Most of the hotels in Pigeon Forge on the river have paved over their riverfront area and used it for car parking.
The atmosphere of the mountains is wiped out in macadam. The birds are pushed away to the other side of the river. The peace is gone. The cars are kings.
Now how much sense does that make?
Here at Arbors Hotel on the river, we have gone the opposite direction. Our hotel has 400 feet of riverfront on the Little Pigeon River. Bordering the riverfront is a one acre meadow with games and opportunities for family time outdoors on the river-side
Of all the river side hotels in Pigeon Forge there are only three that actually have river-front and only one of those has an acre of meadow and river front. That one is Arbors at island Landing Hotel and Suites by the Little Pigeon Forge River. The river “pools” just at the hotel before it splits to wrap the Island. Along the river here, we have great blue herons fishing, geese, ducks, swimming and flying past. There are flotillas of baby ducks geese in the spring and early summer, browsing hedge hogs, an owl and the occasional eagle and hawk All here for the watching at our riverside hotel in Pigeon Forge.
