Activities at Hotel

We have:

  • Fire-pit and marshmallows to roast.
  • Bon- fire by the river – Fri and Sat with s’mores.
  • Winter Hot Tub – outdoors
  • Seasonal pool and hot tub with kid’s pool.
    – Our pool and hot tub are not covered, not indoors, so we are seasonal.
    – The pool and hot tub are heated, of course, so they are generally available early May through early to mid October.

  • Games and jigsaw puzzles are in the fireplace lobby for families and friends. It does not have to be all Dollywood and shopping all the time.
  • Horseshoes, badminton, volleyball, footballs, soccer ball, frisbees, hula hoops, and a kite can be signed out at the Front Desk. We also need to ask you to sign a Liability Waiver . . (you never know where that Frisbee could fly to!)
  • Fishing - we have basic rods to borrow. Fishing does not require a license if the guest us under 13 yrs.
  • Exercise
    We do not have an exercise room.
    May we suggest a walk along the river?
    Just walk up to the island, cross over onto it and keep right to go over the iron bridge, then you will see the path starting on your right. It is 1.8 miles up to the Old Mill. You will see geese, ducks, great blue herons and the occasional eagle.

Snacks all day and nighty
Doughnuts, coffee, tea and hot cider are available through much of the day in the lobby area.

We have enclosed coupon books worth hundreds of dollars for shows, shopping and rides. We hope that you can make use of them. Dollywood generally does not have coupons or reductions. When they do, we will try to get them for you.

On Friday, June 10, Gatlinburg will present the 12th season of Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales daily in downtown Gatlinburg through July 29. Tunes & Tales is a summer-long street performance festival featuring costumed musical performers, storytellers and artisans portraying characters from time periods as far back as the 1800s. This popular seven-week event truly highlights one of Gatlinburg’s greatest assets in the walkability of the city and provides guests with an interactive, educational and entertaining experience the whole family can enjoy. “Gatlinburg is a walking town. Tunes & Tales enhances our visitors’ experience as they stroll the Parkway in the evenings,” said Marci Claude, PR Manager. “The performers bring to life traditional Smoky Mountain heritage and culture in a fun and interactive way.” The collection of personalities and performers arrive nightly at 6 p.m. in the center of town. Visitors witness a magical transformation of sidewalk to stage as the characters disperse along the downtown Parkway for an evening of entertainment and storytelling.

Visitors to Gatlinburg have an additional means to explore the Parkway via this shuttle route which is free for the summer. The free specially painted open-air shuttles will operate from 10 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily June 17 through August 20. Extra stops have been established along the special route to bring the number to 40 along Parkway.
